Are the Conservatives the abusive partner of politics

If like me you spend a lot of time on social media (I know, I should touch grass once in a while) you may have noticed a pattern when it comes to the Tories, and that pattern involves guilt, shame and general gas lighting, the exact same tools employed by abusive and controlling partners.

Now I am in no way suggesting that Conservative party members all abuse their partners, in these litigious times I want to be perfectly clear on that, and I also don't want a Tory snowflake clutching their pearls, pointing to me as one of the “kind left”.

Take for instance the trope employed by conservative followers who have gulped down the kool aid, that labour can't be trusted with the countries finances, they will spout this without a hint of irony as they conveniently forget the 37bn wasted on track and trace, and the 29mn that went to a Tory peer for PPE that was as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

The way the Tory's operate is to try to make us all forget their transgressions by making up transgressions and levelling them at Labour, SNP or LibDems, much of the time levelling impropriety that the Tories themselves have been proved to be guilty of.

Take for instance beer-gate, The big fish that the conservatives wanted to fry were of course Angela Rayner and Sir Kier Starmer, both of whom were cleared of any wrongdoing by Durham police, the accusations against them were made after lock down parties were widely reported to have taken place at Number ten, and bought to light Matt Hancock getting very hands on with one of his aides.

The amount of evidence against the conservative party was so great I don't know where to start, yet the accusations still fly from the conservatives and their supporters, it's as if there is some kind of mass delusion that no one can see is bullshit.

Without counting the meme worthy “Top gear eye test” that saw Dominic Cummings driving to Barnard Castle to check if he was OK to drive, yeah, he put his whole family into a car to see if his eyesight was good enough to drive, a move akin to jumping out of a window to see how high up you are.

Apart from that conference league attempt at pulling the wool over our eyes, there is a lot of evidence that the conservatives especially Boris Johnson, had no regard for the rules that they made and forced people to stick to, and yes I do take this personally, because during the second lock down, these rules robbed me of the chance to say goodbye to my father, and at least try to fix the broken relationship that we had, I didn't break the rules for that, a decision that will haunt me till the day I die, but Boris and his band of privileged hired as a favour to an old school friend cohorts, drank and partied to the point of throwing up and wrecking marriages, while I sat at home hoping that my dad knew deep down that I loved him.

Such was the evidence of rule breaking, that more than 100 fixed penalty notices were handed to participants, now I know you already know all of this so why am I bringing it up?

Well apart from Piers Corbyn, and Margaret Ferrier, the majority of political law breakers is within the conservative party orbit, so why do the Tory adjacent twitter blue checks keep doubling down on beer gate?

It's simple, the party line is to not waste time defending the indefensible, and go on the attack, the puorpous being that some will believe their fairy tails, and some will believe that all political parties are the same, creating an environment where people don't want to turn out to vote, which means that the conservatives stand a better chance of winning if they can turn labour voters away from the polling booths.

The Conservative party know they have no chance of looking like a competent grown up party that the electorate can trust to grow the economy, bring down inflation, and end the cost of living crisis, so they have no alternative but to try to make the labour party look even more corrupt and incompetent than they are.

My favourites on twitter though are Gregg Hands and Kevin Edger, the latter giving it all he has to make it sound like the Tories are the only option by repeating the same contorted misinformation and half truths over and over until it feels like your being waterboarded, and Hands with his picture of a note from the out going labour government saying there is no money left.

Now in defence of Greg Hands, he cant see that the note was a joke, after all he's a supporter of Boris Johnson, the biggest Joke of all, but he posts it so often now its like he has It in his drafts ready to go every time there is a difficult question to answer.

But Kevin “Edge lord” Edger, Partner of Conservative MP Elliot Colburn, is a different standard of moron, not a day goes by when he doesn't post something along the lines of “You can't trust Labour” how deep must he have to bury the memories of his partner being involved in an expenses scandal?

Not very as he recently tweeted about going out on expenses, lack of self awareness much?

Kevin's constant attacks on the labour party, stink to high heaven of transference, I think deep down he knows that the conservatives are finished, and to be fair to him, if your going to be building a life with someone, you will always do what's best for them, but to gaslight the public into thinking that the conservatives are the only way forward is just wrong.

The last thing I want to touch on with regard to the conservative parties MO, is the way they not only use but invent culture wars, to see Suella Braverman, standing in the house of commons, and making a joke about Sir Kier Starmer not knowing what a woman is, with regard to the made up trans debate is so unfitting to the house in which she stands, and does nothing positive for her constituents that she was elected to serve, and by the way, the reason that suella and the entire right wing feel comfortable being transphobic is that there are not enough trans people in the country to affect their polling, which makes me laugh because to here them talk there are hundreds of of trans women occupying female spaces, when in fact trans women are a very small part of the population, I think they need to get their act together.

In conclusion, the conservative party and all of their hangers on, will stop at nothing to hang on to power, they have been proved to be liars, and cheats, so when I look at them, I see emotional bullies, who gaslight, lie, cheat and bully the British public, just like any abusive partner.
